This book is as I expected it to be. But then I tried to order a book "diseases of the lower extremities" which got on kindle. Which I don't have or want. Cost was $9.99 an then there is a cost for the kindle. So neither do I want it in this form and don't want it at all except as a book in my hand. Could not find any place to delete or stop this order so I am disappointed. But the other book " The salon professional book " is great. Thank you for your time an if you can fix this other problem I would be greatful.

Had read two of these entertaining, interesting and full of adventures stories individually and liked the plot development. A strong heroine and a hero that still had to work his mind. I have read all of these books individually and each book is a fast-paced and continuation from each other. There's action, adventure, drama, danger, suspense, twist/turns, enemies, survival, intrigue, humor, conflict, confusion, mystery/secrets, surprises, fighting, friends, family, romance, passion/lust and love.These books are well worth reading especially if you love books about aliens.I voluntarily reviewed this box set of books and this review is my own opinion.

I love box sets because you get all the books in the series together. You can read one after the other with looking for the next. He storylines in each book is great and the characters are developed and brings it all together. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

I enjoyed reading these stories, they have good storylines and are filled with action and intrigue. The chemistry and interaction between the characters is wonderful. I received each of these books individually as a FREE ARC copy to read and I voluntarily leave this review.

Becca is kidnapped from earth by Falax. His job is to deliver brides to his king Mezzias. Unfortunately Falax finds her irresistible.Charectorization is good, plotting fair.

Great plots and characters. A must read from this author. I volunteered to read an advance copy for an honest review.

Good sci-fi boxset.Recommend.I voluntarily reviewed this book.

A fair amount of what's written in this book doesn't seem to relate to teaching a running technique. And to me, some of it seems kind of odd and out of place. The book did however, help me learn how to run and I still remember and use some of the concepts the book teaches.The real breakthrough for me came from seeing someone actually running using (what I think was) the Chi Running approach.There may be many running books more helpful than this one, however, this was the right book at the right time for me.

Dreyer's approach is to apply the teachings of Tai Chi to running. He teaches about four skills: focusing your mind, Body sensing (high speed access), breathing (tapping into your chi), and relaxation (the path of least resistance). The idea of body sensing and thinking about posture, as well as relaxing, has already started working well for me. For several years I have needed a lot of walk breaks when I've been out running. In the past year I have lost a lot of weight and I'm sure that has helped a lot, but even after losing the weight, I found myself out of breath very quickly and still taking a lot of walk breaks. Since I've been focusing on my posture and maintaining a relaxed state I have not had to take any walk breaks at all. That is very exciting to me. I started adding miles to my long runs and I've found that I still need to work on my endurance, but I have been able to control my breathing and continue running even when my body has started getting tired. That is a huge change for me and is plenty enough reason for me to be excited about this book.The book has chapters on injuries; how to prevent them and what to do if you are injured. I think most runners at one time or another have dealt with some kind of running injury, so that chapter is well worth the read. I have been very fortunate over the years, having had only one serious running injury in over 30 years of running, but I still will apply these ideas to ensure my continued good luck.There is also a chapter on diet and nutrition, in general. He gives advice that is good, I'm sure. I believe Dreyer, but I'm not changing. I'm not giving up my coffee. I'm just not. That doesn't mean I think Dreyer is wrong; I just think his suggestion is a bit unrealistic for most of us. But if you follow his advice I'm sure you will get amazing results. You definitely will not hurt yourself.I really like this book. It has already helped my running a lot just since I started reading, and it is written so that it is easy to follow and understand. It would be great for a beginning runner or an intermediate runner hoping to improve, but I think even an elite runner would find it useful.

Many of the Chi running tips are already making me a more efficient runner., especially hip rotation. Other running aspects, like midfoot strike and lean are similar to other instructors.The Chi living aspect is a little tougher to embrace. It's a little too karma consciousness for me.The nutrition chapter is weak with just general guidelines to eat a good balance of high quality foods. Your chi will guide you!All in all I would recommend it to anyone looking to increase their running efficiency.

First of all, I am a 43 year old NON-runner. I'm 5'4" with stumpy little "Barny Rubble" legs that don't go very fast on the best of days, and the shoulders and arms like a line backer due to my Midwestern rearing on a hay farm; a sleek and slender runners body is the last thing in the world that I possess. With that said, due to my job, every year I have to do a physical fitness test (push ups, sit ups and the dreaded mile and a half run) and every single year I've dreaded it every time. This year I was dreading it more because I've traveled quite a bit, was floored by the flu in March and at the end of April, was hit with paralyzing allergies so the training I would normally do for the four months leading up to my testing didn't happen. I honestly didn't know what I was going to do. Not only do I despise running, I despised the weeks of the recovery from the injuries that I would always sustain, especially from completely blowing out my ankles, knees and especially my quads.Then, as fate would have it, while surfing on my kindle one night, about a week ago, I found this book and read the reviews. At first, I had some major doubts because something as simple as changing your running posture, in order to run more comfortably for longer durations, sounded way too good to be true but I was desperate and time was running out for me.At first, the book sounded a bit like an infomercial that you'd see at 3am when nothing else was on, the claims it made were a bit outlandish but I kept reading. I have to admit, I was intrigued by the time I was done but I was still having a hard time visualizing what I needed to do. On a whim, I logged onto YouTube and watched the video's on CHI Running...this was completely doable!Before today, whenever I attempted to run, I could get about 50 feet before my legs started feeling sharp pains in one way or another, so I would begin the walk of shame waiting for it to pass; I hoped that quitting smoking last year would make a difference, it did but then my legs would give out before my lungs would.However, today, I was able to put the lessons from the book and video into practice...I ran 3/4 of a mile before I stopped to walk!! And that was only because there was a steep hill to tackle and a strong headwind. Anyway, I finished the 1 1/2 mile course feeling really well! So well, in fact, I went into my building and ran ANOTHER mile on our indoor track!! I'm completely astonished!!As I write this, I am experiencing a fraction of the discomfort that I normally feel on the evening after running any amount. My ankles and hips are a bit tender but this was my first run with the new techniques so I need to practice more. However, I am having no discomfort, what so ever, in my quads which would normally cripple me for days afterword. I'm actually looking forward to my run tomorrow!Over all, these techniques aren't hard at all and I think that a bad runner, such as myself, can pick up the fundamentals quite quickly. Read the book, watch the video, and try running without ear buds (I always do!) because I was able to pay attention to the way my body was reacting to the changes and was able to tweak as needed.So, for the first time in over 20 years, I'm able to face my fitness test this coming week without fear or anxiety. I'm really glad I found this book!

This is one of the greatest spiritual books that I ever read. Not only am I learning what the gnostic teachings are about, I am seeing and living a transformation in my life as I continue reading. The author is such an enlightened man but writes in a way that makes it easily understood. You will develop a spiritual understanding like you have never heard before. Even if you do not have an open mind and are fixed in many religious beliefs you will most likely change you're mind probably after reading the introduction.. There is so much fodder in this book and lessons of enlightenment, I had to replace highlighters from so much use. I will also never look at the holy bible in the same way again, while still respecting much of its contents.Halfway into this book and it is shaking me to the core !!!! God be with you....

I have read several translations and commentaries on and of The Gospel of Thomas. When I read this commentary I couldn't put it down. It resonated with me as a commentary in the gnostic/mystical tradition of Jesus. This commentary points to pneumatic enlightment which, as I understand it, is the purpose of the pathway of gnosticism as a whole. This is not about literalistic Christianity. This book serves as a readable introduction to the initiation that leads us to our mystical journey with Christ. In my opinion, anyone who is consciously interested in their mystical journey of Christ Consciousness will enjoy and benifit from reading this profound work by Tau Malachi. While this jouney is both internal and personal as it unfolds it is shared with everyone we meet as we learn it. It can also be said that each one of us is already on this journey. So, this book then can be, again in my opinion, be an accelerant to the completion of our shared journey to our mystical union with Christ. Whether you have already read other commentaries on The Gospel of Thomas or have not read any, this book is well worth reading.

If I were banned to a deserted island and could only bring one book to read this would be the one. It's language is very gentle and comprehensible. You will meditate on what is shared in this book long after you close the cover and you will thirst for more as you gradually work through the scripture. For myself it is so powerful because "truth" is something that is powerful and in short demand on this plane. But for those seeking enlightment of a higher plane it must be found in truth. The words and thoughts shared by Tau Malachi set the mind in motion towards communion with God. It is obvious that Tau has done much soul searching, study and meditation because his words are inspirational & moving in a very good way.If anyone has been seeking to know God or seeking His truth the real and only truth. I bid you not to hesitate in purchasing and reading this book, it will change your life by knowing who you are and who our God truly is.Peace,Steve H.

I was raised as a Roman catholic. It does not surprise me today to learn that Jesus said a lot more than what was disclosed in the bible. Although the gospel of Thomas origins are in question, the message in his testimony resonates with truth and insight. After reading the passages it is understandable why an organization seeking control and power would omit his words. It is a little esoteric, but if you read it, then pray and seek understanding, your intuition will make sense of the teachings with time. I have read the passages a number of times over a few weeks. Each time I learn something new about myself and find a closer connection with my Creator. I do not agree with all the opinions of the author of the book, but some of the observations made are insightful. My 2 cents is that if you really are a Christian, then you owe it to yourself to learn all you can about Jesus. Listen to your heart for the truth. Do not be fearful of information! Fear does not equal Faith; the two emotions are mutually exclusive. You can not be fearful and faithful in the same moment.

This book may or may not augment one's devotions. Its thrust lies not in devotion but in hard core practice: this is a man who speaks from what he has grokked, not that about which he has opined. One is stunned by the Light.If you're serious about your search, grab this book. If you're looking to make your devotions prettier, surely there are a lot of little pamphlets out there that will do that job.Do you want pretty? Go elsewhere. Do you want real? Grab.Oh. Do you want canonical? Fuggadabboudit!

I wasn't too sure what to expect when I got this book, I knew I would have to contemplate every teachings one at a time. This is not a book to read all at once but one verse each day and integrate those teachings. The teachings are truly helpful and wonderful, it helps to see the big picture of things and to know that what you're feeling at times on the spiritual path is normal. The spiritual path can be a lonely one and this book is a friend showing up to say that everything is OK and will be. It's a divine intervention from God to guide you and to say don't quit you're almost there. Keep going and you will find what you're looking for....Wonderful book.

This is a very well done book.You get the whole Gospel of St. Thomas and for each verse Tau Malachi offers an interpretation that can serve as a spiritual guide to understanding the verse as well as a starting point for personal meditation or simply as an introduction to gnosticism.I think whomever feels like they are Christians but can't find where they belong to because they don't buy any of the standardized self proclaimed truths that creep within pretty much any christian denomination should give this book a chance.God Bless

I read a verse daily; it's inspiring my own writings. The transmission of love runs deep like an ocean; as though Jesus himself speaking into my heart. I left orthodox religion years ago but kept the divine messages of this Master teacher within, and now he springs forth through this beautifully written interpretation. A jewel, a pearl is found in the reading of this beautiful, profound and wise book.

I wasn’t sure if Kaur was going to be able to pierce my soul like she did with Milk & Honey but she did it with ease. A journey of self love and raw observations about the world around us.The only thing I did notice was if you are an advid reader like myself, you probably picked up a lot of similarity from other poets and works. I think we all strive for originality but sometimes it falls short.I will saw that Rupi Kaur is not for everyone, I know people who worships the ground she walks on and other who loathe her for her writing style.But that’s the thing about poetry, it doesn’t need to be perfect to be power.

This is the second collection of free verse (with some prose) poetry and line drawn art by Rupi Kaur, an ethnically Indian Canadian poet. Like the first collection, “Milk and Honey,” this collection has been well received critically. The strengths of the collection include some beautiful, evocative, and unique use of language; the author’s willingness to lay it all on the line in a bold and brave fashion; and the often clever--if simple, verging on crude—artwork. Its greatest weakness is frequent restatement of clichéd notions and truisms that don’t stand up well juxtaposed to the more personal and illuminating lines.The collection is divided into five parts, each of them reflecting a theme—while being tied together by the titular floral theme. “Wilting” is about breakups. This flows smoothly in tone into the second part, “Falling,” which is about sexual violence, depression, and the linkage between them. “Rooting” is about family and origins, and—in particular—the poet’s relationship with her mother. As an immigrant child who moved to Canada from Punjab while young, Kaur was more attuned to her new home than her parents—who were less at ease with their adopted homeland and more rooted to their ancestral home. The penultimate part, “Rising” is about love and relationships, and it takes the collection into brighter territory. “Blooming” is about feeling comfortable within one’s own skin, and—in particular—the female experience of it.As hinted, the overall organization of the collection seems purposeful and intriguing. The two melancholy parts at the beginning are blended into the last two (more optimistic) parts by way of a chapter on roots and family. This bridging seems to be done on purpose to make a statement.I enjoyed this collection, and would highly recommend it for poetry readers—particularly for those who enjoy free verse.

Book was inappropriate for minors

My 13 year old granddaughter asked for this book of 'poetry' for Christmas. After receiving the book and perusing it's contents I discovered that it contained some questionable content for a 13 year old. Be advised that their are graphic sketches and material that you may not be prepared to explain to your young reader.

I was excited to purchase both The Sun and Her Flowers and Milk and Honey as these were actually books recommended to my 14 year old daughter to read (so she put them in her Christmas list). However, when the books got here, I skimmed through. I personally do not feel this is appropriate for my 14 year old. Nowhere in the descriptions did it say anything about sexual content. From what I did read, the books seems like A great read for a more mature reader. Maybe 17. I just feel with the particular sexual content and some of the illustrations, I would not recommend for anyone under 17.

LOVE Rupi and LOVE this book! If you read her first book (Milk and Honey), it's still in Rupi's signature style, but she manages to cover similar topics from a different standpoint. It kind of feels as though her books are maturing with her, as this one handles the issues from Milk and Honey in a more mature, learned tone. Definitely recommend that ALL young women read this, if for no other reason than to see that we are all sharing very similar struggles in love and life in general.

This was my first hard copy of Rupi Kaur’s books. I read it in sections so I could allow time for the words and images to sink deeply into my soul. It evolves beautifully from wilting at the beginning until blooming at the end. Her writing is lyrical and realistic. Her love of self brings me a new appreciation for the process so many of us women experience after living in darkness.

I love Rupi's style of books. She is very honest and open in her poems which I think is important especially for young readers. I love this book and hope to reread it again soon. I recommend it to anyone looking for a positive and enlightening story made of poems.

Crucial Conversations & Crucial Confrontations are well-written, practical guides for resolving common workplace problems. HIGHLY RECOMMEND them both. It was with excitement then that I purchased Crucial Accountability - only to find that it is word for word the same book as Crucial Confrontations. Buy one or the other.

Love this book. It's a little bit of a long read though. This (in conjunction with Crucial Conversations, the predecessor to this book) saved my family life. I used to be a jerk but now I'm almost tolerable. These people taught me how to converse without interrogating, how to provide opinions without being bossy, and how to influence without being pushy. Seriously--the concepts here changed my life. This one is GREAT for managers because it teaches how to deal with co-workers and subordinates who don't follow through on commitments.

I had to read this for a class and I was dreading it, but I ended up reading almost all of it in one sitting. The authors not only offered good, practical, applicable information, but their writing was pretty good as well. I expected it to be dry and very text-book like, but really it was pretty engaging. It's been a few weeks since I read it and it has proved to be pretty helpful! It's not a magic fix-all for all your relationship problems or anything like that, but its a good tool and resource fro improving how you handle accountability issues in relationships in your personal and professional life.

I didn't catch that the authors had re-titled their existing book, "Crucial Confrontations".I expected something new, LOL.I wasn't offended though because the book is so good.It made an excellent gift.This is the best book I've read on accountability discussions.The "FeedBack Script", podcast by Manager Tools and an old book, "Analyzing Performance Problems", by Mager and Piper are excellent companions to this book. Also S.Covey Sr.'s, discussion about managing by agreement in the 7 Habits really cements one of the hardest things to do when working with people, holding, ONE ANOTHER accountable.God Bless

Definitely good for a number of management basics. Some of it is telling you what you already know (one would hope) mostly because its a lot of common sense and empathy. That said their are a few key takeaways that can be implemented on an individual basis that will make you a better manager and or a better employee.

I wish I had this book years ago! The book brilliantly breaks down the elements of difficult conversations when it's time to hold someone accountable: how to prepare before the meeting, what to look for and discuss during, and how to follow up after to increase the likelihood of success.The books offers the tools, yet it's up to the reader to practice. No matter the difficulty, it is well worth the effort.

Kind of life changing when it comes to having good conversations in the midst of conflict of any kind. Would really recommend! I am reading this with some associates, and it’s really helping all of us already. I would say we are already good at handling conflicts, and this book is still adding extreme value.

Really loved the first couple chapters. Although it seemed too many at times having examples of both work and personal issues helped to frame the concepts well. For me it seemed this book lost a little horsepower after the first few chapters. The concept of accountability comes from an authoritarian view rather than one of mutual benefit. I wish a few more chapters could have been written on personal accountability as I think one needs to master this before attempting to hold others accountable.Good read overall. I would recommend.
