Originally, we checked out the "My Turn to Learn Opposites" from our local library. These books are so nicely made, the illustrations are absolutely darling, and price is just right. So, I decided to buy all four for my 2-yr old... we've got another babe on the way, so these books will get some extended (and earlier) use with him.

Great simple colorful pictures. The tabbed pages of this book and the others in this series make it easy for my 8 month old granddaughter to turn the pages by herself.

I love this entire series! The big chunky tabs on each page make it easy for my baby to practice turning book pages. The book is made of plastic with paper veneer so he can stick it in his mouth all he wants and he won't damage it. We got these when he was about 6 months old and now at 10 months he goes for these more often than his other books. Highly recommend.

This wonderful little book appeals equally to my 6 month old grandson and 21 month old granddaughter. Bright colors and bold, simple illustrations are a delight.

This book helped our 18 month old start learning basic shapes. There's no story or plot, but it does show the shapes and then includes them in everyday objects in the illustrations (like an egg on the oval page). I like that there's no story bc it doesn't distract from the shapes. Our son likes it too.

Wow. This is one of the sturdiest looking boardbooks I've run across. Each page is really thick and glossy and should hold up well with normal baby/toddler handing (and mild chewing).The artwork is cheerful and features a momma hen and her chicks. There are flowers and bees, fences and windmills, etc. in the back ground.The book covers 5 shapes: circle, box, triangle, oval, and star.And Natalie Marshall shows each shape as part of something else. Like the circle is at the center of a flower petals. And squares are both windows in a chicken coop, and the coop structure itself.Besides the sturdiness, what I like about the book is that the pages have large thick tabs. Little fingers can work on using these to turn the pages, and moms and others can also ask their young one to turn to the page with the 'square' on it, for example. Then they can ask the child to point to the shape in the picture.The book can also be used to teach colors and the names of other items that are in the vignettes.

Rudy J. Favretti is professor emeritus of landscape architecture at the University of Connecticut where he founded the nationally accredited landscape architecture program. After reading the other reviews I found that they were not up to par. This book is a great reference book and a very helpful `go to' book for explanation of analytical approaches to some of the newest techniques in the industry. Excellent presentation. Everybody who does this kind of work, or hopes to, should have this book.

I had great expectations about this book.Unfortunately for a beginner introductory book it lacks of clarity, for an expert book it lacks of depth.Nice glossary for beginners.The Contract summary at the end is excellent and makes for the cost of the book.

The story in general is good. There are a couple contradictions and multiple grammatical errors/typos. I like the potential of the story. A revision and corrections would make it so much better.

I'm an Angular developer, and I use RxJS a lot in my development. I picked up this book after having seen Randall at a couple conferences, and I wanted to see his take on things.This isn't a thick book, but it gives really good information on Reactive programming, RxJS, Angular, and Angular's Reactive Forms. It doesn't go into ngrx and Angular performance much, but the introduction it gives for both is solid.In my development, I really appreciate the power of reactive development and Reactive Forms, and it was good to see them taken seriously here (I think Reactive Forms in particular are underappreciated).The only part of the book (besides a line and hint here and there) that was new for me was the last chapter on writing a game in canvas. Pretty cool stuff.I teach classes on Angular through my company's Angular Boot Camp, and I'm going to suggest this book to future students as a resource for good Angular and web development.

This is a GREAT PHOTOGRAPHY BOOK. This book is NOT a historical reference to the art form, but a compilation of photos for graffitis that were available at the time the author wrote the book and that he though as beautiful enough at to be included in "his" book. Oviously, as in any documental work there are biases to what would be included or excluded, in this case there were artists and their works that didn't make it. However, I'm still delighted for what the author felt it was worth presenting.The bad reviews that it received were based on buyers not reading what the book was all about, that is, they were expenting more of a encyclopedical book or worst had problems with the sellers (book suppliers).The one thing I agree with other buyers is that, I wish that a larger book format would have been available to better appreciate the photos.

If what you're looking for is urban art throughout the world, that is exactly what you'll be pleased to find. I bought this as a gift for someone else, actually, but I couldn't stop looking further through its pages.I find that there are very few books like this, so when I originally discovered it I thought of what a gem it was. When I think of graffiti, I tend to think of a specific spot on the NY subway system that I've taken for years; just before heading underground the train passes by multiple buildings that have work all over the sides--it really is a beautiful sight. But I never thought about such things across the world existing, and found out in this book that they do exist.If you enjoy artwork in general, or have ever considered any graffiti to be beautiful in its own way, I would recommend this, even as a passing interest, because it will expose you to the "world outside of your own", in many senses of the phrase.

History at its best

This was a gift for my brother who is a pretty well known graff artist and he really liked this! Nice size, & packed with beautiful art work from around the world! Good stuff!

This book is a great overview of the whole world's street art scence. I bought it to share with my high school students, and they LOVE it...I love it. It has wonderful style and presentation to it...great for a coffee table book. It has quick little bios of each artist or crew and then a whole lot of pictures of their art. I would recommend this to anyone interested in street art, the undergroud scence in general, other country's scences, or pretty much anything like what I just mentioned. This book is just what it says it is... Graff from everywhere. I thoroughly enjoyed looking at the different styles. Don't be upset if your favorite writer is not in here, it's not that type of book, even though plenty of writers are represented. It's about seeing the graff scene spread and how the spread has evolved in different locations.
